Morning everyone. They won't sack Cook after the Pietersen episode, he might resign the captaincy but I doubt he'll do that until after the series -if it is lost. This match isn't lost yet.

58 overs gone, even if it goes well from here*, in 70/80 runs time, the new ball turns up....

Odds on a 189 last wicket partnership with a certain J Anderson before it happened 1,000,000-1!

I'd give us a chance...say...1 in 100...if we had Monty at 11...
Boys are going OK for now - they will battle on, 5th wicket will go down just before lunch, clatter of wickets straight after lunch, bit of resistance from the last pair will get us nearly to tea before the Indian win.
Cook to resign at post match press conference.

Those odds don't look very generous for an England win - realistically about 10/1 at the moment, or maybe I'm just being pessimistic and mentally scarred from previous recent England batting performances.
I predict heroic failure - maybe 20-25 runs short.
