Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Glorious day of sunshine down South. Play abandoned up North... at least it meant I got outside rather than watching cricket

Glorious sunshine in the north yesterday. Wet and miserable in the northern part of the south that they call Manchester.

Sunny today in the North, much further North is not the North, it's another country.

I'm not sure you call Lancashire anything but another country either.

Am I correct in saying follow on target is 150 in arrears, rather than 200 due to the lost day of play?

No it's still 200. Once the game has started it doesn't change. If the whole of day 1 had been lost rather than day 2 then it would be 150

We had a vote a few years back WS. Definitely still north Brits up here!

If West Indies score just past the follow on mark, do we get to enjoy Burns and Sibley doing their best impression of Boycott and Brearley in the 1979 World Cup final as the overs tick away?

It'll be Buttler & Stokes opening for a quick T20 thrash of 100 or so, won't it?
