I was 26 in 1990. 1990 was 30 years ago. Although those are both facts, I refuse to connect them. Especially to sportsmen. I was born in the year Denis Law won the Ballon d'Or. I look like Gianluca Viali’s grandad. Both also unfortunately true

I was 20 in 1990, which makes me old enough to have seen both Ryan Giggs's dad and Ben Stokes's dad playing rugby league for Workington Town.

I remember sitting at Grace Rd in my teens and getting the autograph of a young 2nd XI player who looked two or three years older than me. He was a blond curly haired chap - wonder what happened to him.

Can't be any connection to that David Gower chap who's now in his sixties surely. I mean what age would that make me?

Very well done England. It was nice to see everybody contribute, especially the bowlers taking it in turns to have very good spells, including Root!

I was born during the Botham ashes.

One of the apprentices at work was born during the “Mark Butcher” ashes....

Buttler is the anomaly. Odd really as he could be brilliant. The top 6 batting well makes it look worse. I guess he will be rested now....if the top 6 continue to improve Foakes just needs to play his normal game...no heroics needed.

I guess though...quick runs at 7 even with a good top 6 is very handy indeed.

I was 27 in 1990....oh dear, oh dear.....

I've got t-shirts older than my boss at work :(

1990 I ws 21. I remember the shock when the England captain at cricket/rugby/football were all first older than me. Now I'd be happy to be in the peer group with the management.

I write software and have worked for the same company for many years. Last year I fixed a bug in the code that I had inadvertently introduced before the guy who sits opposite me was born.
