Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Spot on, HellBells. If it helps 0.00001% of the population it is worth it.

It has just occurred to me I haven’t been in a shop that wasn’t a food shop, garden centre or pharmacy since lockdown started. Not because of any safety concerns but more because I’ve got used to buying a lot of stuff online.

A few bars are open in Cardiff. Well. Restaurants with outside seating.
The one way system in Tesco has gone and they are now not policing who goes in.
Town centre still very quiet during the day but lots of very bored looking young people with Primark bags and takeaway food lurking around on benches. Skateboarding groups in the central square. Bikes riding on the pavements even though there are new cycle lanes.
And a lot of cigarettes being smoked.
Homeless people back out now
The city centre feels a bit malevolent.

Unfortunately I now live there

Extent of my shopping has been food, I went to the garden centre once for bbq coals too.

I have been to 2 beer gardens both of which were very safe with good hygiene measures and quiet. Can’t see me needing any other shops anytime soon. I have discovered I have more crap that I know what to do with now without adding to it.

Even my lockdown weight loss has resulted in me getting into old and now new clothes.

I have branched out in the last few days and not only visited a garden centre but also accompanied my daughter shopping. We did leave it till Monday as her friends had told her weekends are busy. We visited John Lewis, M &S, and Primark wearing our masks in each. It felt fine. Today I went to Sainsbury’s, again masked. I greeted staff with a nod and waved to the sushi chef. It didn’t feel odd at all.

Saw this article and thought it was interesting, not read the link within it, my knowledge of science is rather limited.

I went to a beer garden last night, tables were very far apart, everything was clean and I felt safe. Not all shops have reopened yet, John Lewis not open yet.

I'm visiting the charity shops as I'm stocking up on books as I ran out during lockdown and that nearly drove me crazy. Our library hasn't reopened yet.

I made a mask out of a buff but it's far too hot so bought one which is really well fitting and not hot at all.

But I will never get used to everyone wearing masks. Just been to do food shop for the week, only one woman wearing a mask in there.

Only living there to work though Hipps? I liked Cardiff when I stayed there overnight I’m sorry it isn’t working for you but maybe it really needs a husband and a pet
I wore a mask today for the first time in a shop. It was a bit hot but it won’t stop me shopping

Can anyone please explain why you are going to have to wear a mask in a shop, but not in a pub.

Or am I mistaken?
