Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

we're doing the same with our local WhatsApp group interns of swapping/donating stuff, it actually feels like our road community has come together :-)

It is indeed brilliant. Some of our old furniture went to a family who pretty much had none!

Another way our village helps is a Thursday house to house pickup for the Foodbank. They collect carloads.

Our estate has been doing that from early on both outside houses and via FB. We also had a raffle running with good stuff so it wasn’t always quickest person got it. That evolved to include a weekly key worker raffle with donated items or services. I have a manicure and a curry waiting for me.

We have lots of charity shops in the town I live in, all closed apart from a couple.

Yesterday I was able to visit the AgeUK shop and hand in some stuff and joy of joy, buy some books. I was desperate for books, libraries are reopening but not ours, yet. My local library have renewed my books on loan until February 2021 but I hope I can take them back before then!

We managed to give a lot of my mom's things/furniture to a local womens refuge as they have still been working throughout and luckily the local hospice & day centre accepted the rest a couple of weeks ago.
