Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Regarding the wedding just seen on the news that the school was using a third party to handle its bookings.

So the new variant is 30% more deadly than the original as well as being more transmissible. We are never getting out of this are we. Time to hunker down again.

Agree Tim. I meant, hunker down from the news. I had a break recently and it did me some good.

Y'know Tim, I don't think anyone is suggesting we hunker down forever. But all through this, the UK especially has been plagued by short term thinking. It's not about this week, this month, this three months. ALL THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR LESS THAN A YEAR HERE. And how many changes, how many ups and downs have we seen through that time? So while I do take larkim's point about the relativity of time, we could do with some strategic thinking over a longer timescale.

There is an alternative, of course there is. Is that what you want, Tim? Through this, I have wondered. Maybe it could be all over in six months. If we don't mind shovelling the bodies into pits.

Sorry, but I won't be the fall guy on this thread.

ScotGov legislates. I obey the law.

30% figure looks like it needs treating with some scepticism at the moment based on the way it was collected, but no harm with warning about it in advance of that's what the data suggest.

Surprised it’s taken this long to say it’s more deadly it’s been obvious!
