But all through this, the UK especially has been plagued by short term thinking. It's not about this week, this month, this three months. ALL THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR LESS THAN A YEAR HERE. And how many changes, how many ups and downs have we seen through that time? So while I do take larkim's point about the relativity of time, we could do with some strategic thinking over a longer timescale. There is an alternative, of course there is. Is that what you want, Tim? Through this, I have wondered. Maybe it could be all over in six months. If we don't mind shovelling the bodies into pits.
