jda not sure it’s exceeded 30k in recent years but it’s certainly been over 25k. Failing to find the right link on my phone but will track it down later (unless someone beats me to it). |

jda, I don't know when 30k was last exceeded 2017-18 was the most recent bad year for deaths involving flu, think estimates for UK are in the 25-30k range I mentioned |

Once a few people see some empty shelves it pretty rapidly escalates into idiotic panic buying. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen, but I'd not be surprised if it escalated in the next few days.
