Oddly enough I ended up doing very similar this morning, so I went to the edge of my lawn and visited a few zones to try and get my grid up to size 4 (which is as big as I can get it without running through big chunks of Derby purely to achieve a bigger grid and I'm all into enjoying running at the moment) and I now own two of those squares after one visit. I think it is more like you don't pass through them unless you set out to do so. The obvious paths nearby are along the Trent and Mersey Canal or the Greenway and both skirt round the edge.

For example, the zone won or lost. Does anyone else see this blank rectangle? Or, does an interesting picture appear, for most people?
