My partner and I bought tickets for the women’s hockey last night and it was a brilliant experience (once you overcome the lack of signage and clarity around pedestrian access). The games were great to watch - so much so we’d like to get to see some more.

Interesting comments from Peaty. Probably needs to learn to be a bit more diplomatic?

We loved the gymnastics , especially good to see an England gold and silver (men’s all around). It is incredible what they can do. Next up athletics.
Birmingham was looking amazing too. There is a great atmosphere. Also impressed with the canal areas and all the pedestrian areas. There must have been a huge amount of investment over recent years, there are so many new buildings!

Just found this thread. Hubby and boys watched rugby 7s on Sat and I'm taking boys to the athletics on Sat morning. Can't wait.
Boy 1 was volunteering at the velodrome and sent a selfie with Jason Kenny today.

Just caught up with the medal issue. This phrase particularly annoyed me: "failure to respect the instructions of the commissaire/organiser".
Why do sports' governing bodies have to be so pompous and precious? Dare I say it, this seems especially true of those run out of Switzerland?
