Just caught up with the medal issue. This phrase particularly annoyed me: "failure to respect the instructions of the commissaire/organiser". Why do sports' governing bodies have to be so pompous and precious? Dare I say it, this seems especially true of those run out of Switzerland?
No doubt written by a lawyer - they like to be pompous (I can say that as I am one myself!)

Went to the table tennis for the mens team medal matches today. All the volunteers were full of energy, made for a great atmosphere.
Slightly disappointed with our seats, we were front row in a section quite a long way from the action, with a barrier in front that only an adult could barely see over when sat down.
Asked a volunteer if they could do anything and someone took us to a different section where we got seats one row further back. My 12yo could see the table just and my 8yo could only see the TV screens when replays were shown intermittently.
Chatted to another volunteer who said that was same every shift they worked there, every family put in those rows couldn’t see much if anything.
Band B tickets, so we spent £100 on that for two adults, two children. We watched the bronze medal match and left.
Hoping the athletics will be better later this week!

All planned to go to the Games and wake to find all trains cancelled (stolen signalling cables!!) on a bus to Redditch which looks like it is on another line. Will be late but hopefully will get there in the end!
We have tickets for athletics this morning, tonight and tomorrow morning
