Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Love my looking cake. I don't really like Christmas cake - too rich for me, my brother usually makes one.

Impressive cake, DT! Compliments to the Stef star

I shall be buying Christmas cake in the sales as usual, for when my environment is no longer awash with confectionery.

Well done Stef :) that's a superb cake!

I only made mine last week, marzipanned it yesterday and have just made the icing to ice it this evening.

We probably won't start eating it until the new year anyway.

I won a quite decent looking M&S Xmas cake too in our office raffle so we aren’t badly set for a week or too ;-)

Velo / Raptor compliments passed on :-)

Lovely looking cake that, love the sheep! Made my cakes at the end of November, but they only get one shot of brandy before being packed away till Christmas. We have unwrapped one for quality control testing and it is fine.

There will be no icing and definitely no marzipan, which is a vile and inedible substance, almost as disgusting as beetroot.

Being northern and having converted our Welsh family members into being honorary northerners, we will eat our cake with Wensleydale cheese. Except those of us who think fruit cake is yuk, there's a choc Yule log for those.

We had some belting Wensleydale cheese yesterday that I said would be perfect with fruit cake ;-)
