I've just outsourced shopping for my little niece and slightly bigger great-niece. Phew. I am short on insights into the mind of the seven year old girl.

Our 4ft artificial tree and ornaments (no lights) came from ASDA 10(?) years ago for a grand total of £10 and is still going strong. I expect we'll still have it 20+ years from now, although we may get a larger one to go with it.
