This is how you get the star on top of a 7ft tree - one 18yo on the shoulders of his 20yo brother

They're still there in their Amazon boxes - though there is a reason (Secret Santa between the "in-laws" where direct delivery because of "you know what" means we won't be meeting up)
(Quite impressed I got all three "their"s in one sentence!)

Blizzard
For many years we had a big party at our house on Boxing Day. Most of the family would call. I don't know how we fitted everyone in ! Then 7 years ago Mum and Dad came to live with us, so the parties had to come to an end. We did get invited out to family at Christmas, so that was good. Then 3 years ago Mum went into a Care Home with dementia. We would call at the Home on Christmas morning and visit Mum. The staff dressed up as Santa and his elves; brilliant. If we get to visit Mum on Christmas Day this year it will be behind a perspex screen and wearing PPE.
I guess the only constant in life is change !
