I'm normally cooking for 12-15 of us and have a fixed (tried and tested) option which appeals to the grown ups but goes down less well with some of my brood. This year it will be just the 6 of us so I don't want too many complaints around the table! I've got a carrot dish bbc.co.uk and a sprout / pancetta dish agreed already, so need veg #3. Parsnips would be my choice but kids not enthused. The family's no help either as they suggested peas which falls below my expectations of doing something "different" to make it a special meal.
