Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

TBR is showing on the tracker as through 40k but he’s posted on insta that he’s walking and cramping.

Keep going, mate. Nearly there.

He's finished. Looks like a ridiculously hot day for running in October. Well done to TBR and everyone else who was out there today.

The heat got to me at the 12 mile point in the Metric. Heart rate really spiked, walk ran after that and finished in 2.46 - a good 10 minutes slower than I would have liked. Great to see all the Fetchies though :)

Tough day indeed! I was relieved when eL Bee! said you'd finished, FergusG, because seeing you walking was a bit worrying.

I was always going to get a PW for the Metric today, but I had a grand day out, enjoyed running with Ness, and managed the conditions really well.

The course was littered with very poorly people and a lot of the later people we watched coming in looked as if they could reasonably have hoped for a much quicker time.

Not TBR, though. He was bouncing :)

It was me that you met at the start Fergus, and it was nice to meet you and Autumnleaves.

Well done on your 3:49. I saw you out on the course at the second point where runners are going both ways on the road.
Well done everybody

Thanks Fergus! I’m happy enough with a pb, but was aiming for sub 4. Im ok with today’s performance and it’s probably a true reflection of how my training for it has gone. Guess I’ll have to do another marathon to try for sub 4!

Not the race I planned as others had said but 10 min pb in that weather is pleasing
