Sam had an ex racing greyhound when we met which absolutely not cat safe - it had been adopted for four hours before Sam got it and returned because it killed the cat of the neighbours of the first family who had it. When we moved in together we decided that as I'd had the cat for longer and the dog really would be happier in a home with other dogs, that it would be the dog who went.
