Raemond
Also, very pleased to hear that socialisation chez Raemond is going well. Only a matter of time before we get a picture of a cat blissfully napping on a dogs face...

Yup, that's the hope.
Laika would be a perfect cat bed, she's warm, she rarely moves, she likes company, wouldn't even mind accidental sharp claws occasionally.

Silent Runner
I rescued a spider from the cats’ water fountain yesterday. Now it’s sitting half-way up the kitchen wall above the litter tray. I heard some noises earlier which I think were Arya jumping up to try and catch it and using the litter tray as a crash mat. Lucky it’s got a lid on it, or it could have got messy…

Rescuing spiders is an an alien concept to me.

Once I was trapped on the first floor by a particularly nasty looking bugger on the wall over the stairs.
A can of deodorant and a lighter soon saw to him.

Silent Runner
I used to have a real phobia of spiders (probably picked up from my mum, who’s absolutely terrified of them) but now they don’t really bother me. I still wouldn’t want to go too close to a really big one, though.

IT GRANNY 🇮🇸
I'm terrified of spiders. The worst is when they get in the car.

We were in Reykjavík and took my mum for a pre-departure Covid test. Huge queue of people standing in line in the parking lot.

And enormous spider in my car, on the ceiling right above the handbrake.

I ran out, screaming. Of course, most people didn't want to come near because of all the Covid-anxiety. But one very kind man did come over and remove it for me. I have rarely been so grateful.

Ellie catches spiders in the garden and brings them in proudly to my arachnophobe daughter (her favourite human).

I love spiders, especially the large ones. They are my pets ☺️
I am also most of my friends bestest friend and on 24/7 duty for spider rescue. I pick them up and put them outside...

We've had our first poo incident. Moon has happily been using his litter tray since day 1. This evening I came downstairs, went into the lounge and saw Chris sat on the sofa with headphones on, playing on the PS5, Moon asleep on his lap. "Jesus, Chris, what have you eaten, it stinks in here?" He starts to take his headphones off as I start to realise where the smell is coming from - a pile of cat poo by the door. 😧 Both of them have been sitting in there oblivious to the smell. Chris has a very bad sense of smell (not COVID-related), but I am astonished he couldn't smell cat poo. The door must have been closed, and Moon must surely have miaowed to get out - the place where he pooed would not have been accessible if the door had been propped open for him. I am *not* the one scrubbing the carpet right now. 🤢
