Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

On the subject of cats with polydactyl paws, we also had a neighbour down the road with a lovely black cat with "thumbs" that we called Thumbs. It was such a lovely cat that unfortunately passed away around a year ago, but the fence post outside his house still has the scratch marks in it from him. Me and my wife always share a smile when we run past it.

On a side note, does anyone else make up nicknames for the cats that live on their estate? We've been a disappointed a couple of times when we find out their real names as they don't always match the names that we choose.

Nemeth, when Muttley Jnr was at secondary school there was a cat that used to patrol the place cadging strokes and fuss. On account of having three legs he was known to all in the school as Tripod but I never knew what his "real" name was.

Velociraptor
We had a visiting cat that we called Fat Cat because it was fat and we don't have much imagination. eL Bee! used to chase it with the pressure washer. "I'm not having it terrorising OUR cats," was his excuse, but he didn't like our cats much either so I think he just liked having a cat he could torture.
