Both of ours are house cats, partly because they’re renowned for getting lost but also because they’re renowned for being murderous little bastards, so would reek havoc on the local wildlife. Both are named after their vocalisation one is Squeaky the other is Squawky. Here’s Squeaky, Squeakster, Squeakatron, Squeakinator,Squeak.

My mother-in-Law called him Minstrel, because she just couldn’t get the name fixed in her head. I think I probably know the names of more of the local cats than I do their owners, although Old Ginge across the road is probably not really named that.

Pepper went missing on her first trip out (after climbing out of an upstairs window onto the verandah roof and down a tree!) as she couldn't remember how to get home. She was only about 50 yards away. Mind you this is the cat who can't remember where her food is if you move the bowls (or where she left the mouse that she has just brought in)
