I really want to run because I only get to Cambridge once every few weeks or couple of months these days, especially as it's the birthday one and I've done all the birthdays so far, but if you still need a tail runner I'd be happy to do that

Checked out course before I came home. The compacted snow has created an ice rink effect. Very gutted to have to cancel this weekend's run.
Let's have a belated birthday parkrun the following Saturday 2nd February.

Ouch, ouch, ouch. Just looked at your blog, Rich.
Oddly enough, I was running through Babraham on Sunday Morning, as I'd decided not to risk my normal cross-country routes. Saw a largish group of runners heading down the other way from Worsted Lodge and thought to myself "they're brave, must be pretty slippy up there." Guess that must have been you. Can't say that I fancy running along that bit of the A1307 to get to hospital - there's no path until you're nearly at Wandlebury and the traffic can often be going at more than 60mph.

The cross-country stuff was fine. There was plenty of grip on the snow. I fell on the ice on the roadway down from Worsted Lodge. I'm such a plank.
