Sharkie no, absolutely the links came across as helpful, I just looked at what I'd said and thought it could come across as a bit negative. Just because I haven't completed in 30 days does not mean I haven't got a lot out of trying!

I think we’d agree on streaks, too - entirely up to other people what they do, of course, but for me I feel I need rest days to stay intact, and don’t want to put arbitrary pressure on myself to do something when I should be prioritising something else, be it family, work, sleep, gig practice, or whatever else.

I think I'm only up to about 22 on this year's! Tbh I was a bit put off by all the time spent breathing at the start of each video. I ended up skipping through on most days. Just give me the flow!

I think the breath one was hard if you're not into that aspect of yoga x

Right - I'm still receiving Adriene emails so I signed up for the 2022 30 days of. It's called 'Move' and that is more appealing to me than Breathe or Home or Waffle, so I'm in.

NB It doesn't really matter what it's called, though she does vaguely try to theme the programme in a very broad, loose way.

Also spotted the reassuring presence of Benji. Hurrah! Have to love a yoga person with a dog rather than a cat.

(Cats are great, I had a cat for nineteen years, but it's nice and un-corny for Adriene to have a big dog instead)

Yes, I think so. I do sometimes do breathing exercises to calm myself, but I would not generally be doing yoga at the same time. I found some of the early ones in Breath hard, partly because I'm not that good at sitting still cross legged for a long time (much better than I was a few years ago)

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
In January 2016 fraggle decided to follow Adriene (of Yoga with Adriene fame -only she wasn't 'quite' so famous back then). It was the start of Adriene's second 30 Days of Yoga and fraggle started a thread and asked anyone interested to join in. I did, I completed the 30 days and I got a PB fpr my 60 metres at the end of it so it was certainly not detrimental....

ANYWAY

Fancy joining in with this year's 30 day programme - 'Home'?

Here's the link to Adriene's site, the link for 'Home' is right at the top
