It's a bit strange here today. I think the company is trying to link Valentine's Day to the 'Good Mental Health' initiative they've been doing. There's a box of mini-packs of Love Hearts next to the coffee- and tea-making area, and a sign that says 'With Love' which makes it seem like the company wants to be your Valentine.

But slightly stranger is the bucket of yellow roses by the entrance with a sign that reads, 'Yellow roses represent warm feelings, friendship and optimism. Please take one and share with a friend today.'

I know I'm the world's biggest cynic but I would find it incredibly creepy if one of my work colleagues handed me a yellow rose and said they had 'warm feelings'.

McG - you should take 5 or 6 and place them on your desk - telling everyone that 'people just keep giving them to me'.
Or at least take one (or more) for Liebling.

Although that always runs the risk (not knowing Liebling) of 'It's Valentine's day, and you only get me a free giveaway rose'

Maybe not - I've just seen that yellow roses symbolise 'infidellity & jealousy', only recently (floristry marketing?) trying to be rebranded as 'friendship'.

I think they may also signify 'we've run out of the red ones'
