We are looking forward to welcoming [Town]-based colleagues to the 2020 Priorities Town Hall event.

Your attendance is mandatory.

However, the maximum capacity at the [Hotel] won’t allow us all to attend, so the Board will identify a skeleton staff in each of their divisions to remain behind at the office. Thank you in advance if you are asked to do so.

Please accept this invitation so it’s in your calendar, and await confirmation from your divisional Director.

[UPDATE on our mandatory meeting:]

Good Afternoon

Just to clarify in terms of attendance for this afternoon’s Town Hall at the [Hotel].

Unless you received a separate e-mail from me yesterday, you are not required to attend the session at 2pm today.

We have limited space for the session this afternoon so we have sent as many line managers as possible, who will update and cascade to you after the event.

Any questions, please give me a shout.

It sounds like the Town Hall has shrunk quite a bit. (And two hours in advance is a bit of a short timescale to issue such a clarification.)

Have fun :-) Either there, or not ;-)

Whoever has split their cereal this morning while walking down the glass walkway please return to clean it up.

A "slippery when wet" sign has been put in place to prevent anyone from slipping on this in the meantime.

[The photo accompanying the email looks like vomit rather than milk/cereal]

It's all too easy to lose sight of what is important when you are carrying out an incident role: It's you! Your health, safety and wellbeing is our #1 priority.

[This contradicts the previous 10 or so emails]

:-o Maybe somebody tasted the spillage to verify its composition.

Is it an all-glass walkway? With a glass floor? That would be cooool :-)
