Oh no! So sorry to hear that WP. Wish you all the best with your recovery. I hope you can get on top of all your recent issues too, Kim. I think between us we're in the 'just finish' category. Not a problem with run-walking in Brighton as there will always be hundreds and hundreds who will be behind you, with little or no intent to run. Although I only had a slight calf issue, I think it may be a knot and I have not had a proper sports massage since lockdown. Not run for three weeks, so I may just turn up on the day and see how I go. Will probably run the first nine miles and run-walk the rest. Intending just to keep my ever-present record intact and to add another one to the marathons completed column. |

Another one here in the 'just finish' category. When I signed up I had hopes of challenging my PB. Covid two weeks into the training plan and then a chest infection just as I should have been hitting peak mileage dashed those. Will aim to set off with the 4hr pacer but suspect I won't be able to hold on. I'll be happy as long as my daughter finishes way in front of me, she's had a fantastic training block.

StuH I feel that we will not be far apart as 4 hrs is my aim if I can hold on 🤔

TBH currently I think 4hrs is super optimistic, but I'll give it a shot!

I’m in the just finish camp too. A month ago fell and hurt my ribs - possibly cracked but didn’t bother with an medical diagnosis. Walked 18miles as a final training run last week and jeffed parkrun today. Mostly OK now but I think I’ll be walking at the back.

Doing the maths, I am still optimistic of a sub-5 hour so I will be starting in the pink corral. Undecided yet as whether to go to the front or back. Not been under 5 hours in Brighton since 2018 and not inside 5:15 since surgery nearly 18 months ago. The app is now available. However, my family have said that it wasn't brilliant when they last came down to watch so they may need to get familiar with the Garmin Connect LiveTrack as a back-up. Knowing how I've been, they're bound to need it when I am moving considerably slower than I would like. |

I’m not sure how I’ve ended up in the blue wave. Im definitely not doing it between 3.30 - 4.00. I’m either going to start right at the back of it or will join yellow wave. Thank for mentioning app. Might have a wee look at it. |

Oh no! So sorry to hear that WP. Wish you all the best with your recovery. Thanks Surrey Phil I was hoping I could manage a crawl but the foot says no and have to be sensible as even walking on it hurts. Sending healing vibes to all that need it xx |
