I am currently half way through Station Eleven and really liking it (thanks for the tip Greppers ;-))
I have picked up Live By Night for 99p on the kindle store tonight if anyone is interested. The film with Ben Affleck is now in cinemas. I did not know that it was written by Dennis Lehane who also wrote Mystic River and Shutter Island too.

Glad you like it. Because survival is insufficient.

I've stalled on my book of the year, and fallen back (after indulgence in much other re-reading) on Anne Bronte's Tenant of Wildfell Hall. Am shocked to hear that anyone can enjoy Villette! Charlotte is definitely my least favourite Sister.

Why, beebop? - because of how she behaved towards Anne? - I don't know much about the Brontes as people, but gather from the introduction to my copy of The Tenant that Charlotte tried to keep herself in the limelight and Anne in the shadow.

Of the Bronte novels I have only read Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights. However, I have got the Complete Novels of the Bronte Sisters on my kindle and will get round to reading them sometime!

Yes, Night-owl. I enjoyed reading "Freedom", although not as much as "The Corrections". You got a lot of book for 49p.
