I meant to post this yesterday but it's on Sounds anyway - this week's Book at Bedtime on R4 is Brother of the More Famous Jack by Barbara Trapido. It's one of my favourite books.

Crikey LD! It's a bit since that was published - I read and loved it at the time. 1980s? Late 1970s? Must check! And then read everything else she wrote (at least for a while). May have read it some years later and not enjoyed as much?
