As I enjoyed John Higgs’ Watling Street so much, I have moved on to The KLF now.

10 pages into Ducks now. I don't know quite what to say. It's more like a prose poem and I quite like it, but the question is can I take nearly 1000 pages more of pithy musings, alliterative lists of kitchen items, and random interjections or subject changes? Will there be motifs arising out of the words, (like repeated riffs in Steve Reich hour long piece kind of thing) to grasp onto ? (There possibly is, we shall see). I will persist for a bit, but part of the problem is because nothing is happening it gets hard to remember what you've read. Not a great fan of plots, but I might need one here. It's like reading something like the daily output from the inside of your head as regurgitated by a electronic device onto paper....

I am absolutely loving it, and I think Chris also said it's great. Higgs seems to be fascinated by the interconnectedness of everything and the early sections feature a lot about Echo and the Bunnymen, scary rabbits, and remarkable coincidences. I bought the book just before taking the walk where I took the photo I posted on my blog last night...

Yeah I loved the KLF book, it's got so many great rabbit holes. Stranger than we can imagine by him is also really good. The future starts here isn't as good, he kind of "trespasses" on some of my areas (AI) and for once doesn't illuminate. But it's still readable. The Beatles and Blake books he's done also look interesting

Rabbit, Run is finally finished! I'll review it later. I think I'll probably finish the other book I started before tackling this month's.

And Ducks isn't bad, not at all, it's just the nagging doubt does it go anywhere?
