I have too many unread books already. I've only read 31 this year so far. *clicks* Oops. I'm in. Not a book I'm familiar with, and I made a point of not reading past the cover blurb; it will be interesting to come to a book blind. I rarely do that.

I've started it and I'm enjoying it so far. Maybe because I had absolutely no idea what it is about, not having read the blurb.

I think I'm going to take that approach too, it'll make it more fun. I haven't the slightest clue what it's about :)

I've just started a Thousand Splendid Suns for my other book group and will get that done as quick as I can so that I can get started.

Raffo, my partner, never reads blurbs or reviews. It is kind of good because then you have no preconceptions. I'm completely the opposite, which in this case could be viewed as cheating. Too late! I read a review when I was deciding whether to take part or not.

After an epic battle that took

a) running to a library to get it and it being the wrong library
b) going to WHSmiths and them not having a copy
c) going to the local library to be told their 'reserve store copy' on the catalogue actually meant it was in transit
d) getting to another library which definitely had a copy at 6pm... just as they locked the doors

I got a copy from yet another library this morning straight after parkrun. This book had better be EPIC! *Waves fist*
