Sorry about that. Now wash your hands. (That was the least good Geoff Dyer I've read - though I still liked a few things about it.)

I’m going to feedback to Fetch about the trailing space/line break bug. I’m sure he’s looking for stuff to do.

It is a bit annoying isn't it? Was it something he put in to fix some other problem?

[I’ve fed back on behalf of list makers, lyricists, and poets. And I meant trailing space before a hard return]

Who was reading "Deep" the one on free diving then? I'm on this currently. It's definitely a good antidote to help forget about the current panic. Read about divers getting down to 100-200ft, then blacking out or equipment malfunctioning or trying to tag sharks. And think why would anyone do that. Love the chapter about magnetoreception, next time someone gets lost while running, try tapping into that real sixth sense.

And for the more Zen/meditative moments - "The Liviing Mountain" which is barely longer than one of my blogs, but unlike me, a masterpiece of economy and not wasting words. I haven't been to the Cairngorms since I was 17, and I forgot how much I loved the place and now reading about it, it all comes back.

Love the idea McG but I might pass. Now I'm working from home, I don't have my half hour lunchtime reading.
