I've just remembered that book where everyone in the UK gets a virus and that fat bloke has to run all the way down the country to the last ship leaving. I wish I hadn't. And I can't remember the title.

Linds, can't remember the exact title but I think it was something like "End of the World Running Club".

I remember that one. It was an asteroid strike in the northern hemisphere to begin with, then a few rescue ships from Australia arrived but there was very little time to get there, so they had to run. Over several days. The virus bit came in towards the end.

It sounds like a version of one of my 'a book for every year of my life' - On the Beach, Nevil Shute. In that case it's nuclear war. Not a book to read right now :-(

Survival of the fittest, then.

What if only three people made it in time (and they were all male), then you’d have Three Men In A Boat.
