Unlike Dipps (see Immortalists review) I am not finding an escape in books. I can't pick up a book with any sort of interest to be honest.

Books are my saving grace, otherwise I just go into a spiral of news despair and disaster and become anxious. Thinking about something else (ie a story) is the best way to cope.

The current news/social media situation is not healthy - I accept it's bad news, but 20 years ago were weren't being reminded how awful it was every 5 bloody minutes. It's like everyone wants to do something to help, but the best thing anyone can do pretty much is stay inside and read a book and not infect anyone else.

Despite it all, it seems I can still get absorbed in a book. Currently branched into non-fiction, A Theory of Everything that Matters - a short guide to Einstein, Relativity and the future of faith. Admittedly it's a fairly easy read, despite the subject matter.

It wasn't me, Chrisull.

Just heard that all libraries are to close with immediate effect; would request a copy of The Immortalists by post, but are we allowed to go to the post office and post it?
