For confinement books I'm going to recommend The Siege by Helen Dunmore. A big chunk of the book covers the 2nd WW battle for Leningrad. I thought it was a great read.

Ooh The Siege is a tremendous book. It got me into reading more Helen Dunmore, although I don't think anything else of hers has stuck in my head so much.
I'm currently reading Robert Macfarlane's Underland, with a side order of Pratchett because I feel like I need something light and familiar, but good. Just finished Guards Guards and am about to roam the shelves for another one. I like spending time on Discworld.

I'm listening to the Wolf Hall audiobook and the bloke doing the narration is very good.

Elder Daughter tells me her library (in Balham) has closed, but before it did so it allowed its customers to take out up to 25 books each.
Still no word from "my" library re The Immortalists. Must be in the same galaxy as Owlie's Galleywood.
