Apparently it’s not about the result, but trying in the first place that counts. I wonder if there will be regular selfie updates as he goes along. |

I think the idea is you're supposed to touch the water at each location. Apparently it’s not about the result, but trying in the first place that counts. Ah! and there was me thinking it was just about the self-publicity 😉 |

I saw Joss's book on sale all over the place last week. I know he devised the route many years ago, but has anyone else completed it since then or is this a new thing prompted by the publication of the book?

There have been 19 official completions (full list here https://achille-ratti-climbing-club.co.uk/?page_id=304), though someone I thought had done it isn't on that list? The last two, Jack Scott's winter round in December and Andy Ford's last summer are the quickest since Joss did it but still a long way short of his 19h 14m.

The records of complettions are here, Synge achille-ratti-climbing-club.co.uk I would think the book had something to do with today’s start. It’s a good-looking route for a week’s walking |

Just checked and the person I thought had a completion that isn't on that list did complete last April but it was totally self-supported and therefore doesn't meet Achille Ratti's rule that all legs are supported and witnessed (as with the BG Club).

I was in the Achilles Ratti hut in Langdale the evening Dave Makin and Andy Pooler completed their outing. One of the other lads had a great run at the 10 Peaks that day too. It was a good night

Word is that Finlay Wild has just knocked out an unsupported Paddy in 15:14. Pretty incredible.
