Gus, FF might have his feet up today after his jaunt around the Fellsman at the weekend 🙂 I don't stand a chance of matching his analysis of things, but looking at his very precise schedule I can tell you he came in off the Borrowdale leg at 1433 and scheduled time was 1505. So roughly 30 minutes up. NE reporting from the Lanzarote office and hands it back to FF 🙂 |

From what Ive been told it’s a ‘death or glory’ kind of schedule.

During legs working out the time gained is going to be a little hit and miss because the detailed schedule is updating as he moves and I can only see the original times for the leg changeovers but it's looking like he is now around 40 mins up. Originally he was supposed to be in Loweswater at 22.12 but that's now looking like 21.30 or earlier. Having navved the next leg last time I know that is well ahead of when we expected him then. In the event he arrived on time but not in a good way thanks to the heat. We ended up putting up to bed and by the time we got to Ennerdale it had been light for maybe an hour. This time he is heading to be in Ennerdale by 00.30 or even earlier. He's then scheduled to take a 2 hour break with an original scheduled departure of 03.14. And he won't have had to fight the head high bracken climbing out of Loweswater! (Neither JK or I are particularly tall and it really was over head height on the first climb, despite being bang on line.) |

Comparing his times with Paul's round live.opentracking.co.uk Then he's about 1:45 up after 12 hours. He needs to be 6 hours up after 6 days, ie 1 hour up for every 24 hours, so flying at the moment. |

"flying" was the word used on his support thread. It's going to sound insane (considering I am on holiday) but I really wish I could be back in the UK and helping out with this. |

At Dubs Hut he was an hour inside his schedule but that seems to have disappeared and he is now actually outside his own schedule. So though he is faster than Paul and James he is already slowing....
