Blimey, what on earth was JK's projected finish time, or are you sworn to secrecy on that ?

Thanks Phal, the Fellsman was interesting to say the least. Not being able to see more than 3 yards once it got dark was as hard a test of my nav as I've had in a very long time. Next eta for JK on original schedule is 12.16 at Rossett Pike. James equivalent time there was 19.07.

Am I right in thinking that instead of individual summit times, he’s got set times to be at certain locations, like Rosset Pike? Or is there a micro breakdown for individual summits?

There's a full summit by summit schedule but it's in a live spreadsheet that is been continually updated so that the actual times ripple through and effectively set a new schedule. The only tab that shows the original schedule is only at the change over level and is the only reference I have to the original schedule I'm afraid.

Not so much sworn to secrecy but I feel at the moment it's better kept quiet. However if you were to do some basic maths based on the absolute time difference over the first day....

That’s a good description. I found it quite tricky scrolling through to determine how far up (or down) on schedule he was. I’ve abandoned it now and am reliant on your analysis :-)

You know, sometimes I look at the lines taken and they make me wince. SB’s basic route is a work of genius, but frighteningly direct. That climb up to Slight Side that he’s doing now goes on forever and as is as steep as hell.

So if he's over 4 hours up on previous record in a day, and previous record was 6 days, then he must have been aiming for low 6 or maybe even just under 6 days.
Sounds like he's trying to obliterate the previous rounds and put the record so far out of sight that others will be too intimidated to attempt it.
Exciting times 😁😁
