Last tracker ping was 21.48 on Melbreak. Split to Loweswater was supposed to be 21 mins. So eta at Loweswater was about 22.10. Schedule after a 5 min stop was to depart Loweswater at 22.12. So his hour advantage on his schedule has gone. The question is whether he can now stay with the schedule or if he continues to drop time? He has a big delta to play with between his schedule and the record but he has essentially just taken 3.5 hours for a planned 2.5 hour section.

Think it was a tracker issue, now pinged as Loweswater at 22:13

Time loss is real not a tracker problem. He has lost over an hour since Dubs. Confirmed departure from Loweswater was 10 mins behind schedule. Plan seems to be to reduce break at Ennerdale (planned arrival was 01.14 and then a two hour break) to make up time if he's behind.

JK was about 5 mins up at Ennerdale on his schedule. Cut the stop to around 1.40 and left 27 mins ahead of schedule. It's looking like by Haycock he had lost that advantage and is moving slower than he wanted. At Haycock he was roughly on his schedule and about 40 mins ahead of James.
His next original eta was 8.15 at Nether Wasdale. James equivalent time there was 10.50.

Doh! My early morning maths is not very good. I've moved James times the wrong way to adjust for the different start timed! JK was around 2.40 ahead at Ennerdale and his equivalent arrival time at Nether Wasdale is 12.50.

So 23 hours in JK is around 4 hours ahead of James but 37 mins behind his own schedule.

That's impressive. I wonder if his plan is to give a decent "up front" buffer?

Blimey. Thank you FF for all your maths and analysis! 😀
(Hope you ‘enjoyed’ Fellsman 👍)

He’s certainly slowed down, but given how hard he went yesterday I’m not surprised.

Thanks Phal, the Fellsman was interesting to say the least. Not being able to see more than 3 yards once it got dark was as hard a test of my nav as I've had in a very long time.
Next eta for JK on original schedule is 12.16 at Rossett Pike. James equivalent time there was 19.07.
