He set off at 8am on the 20th Feb so will need to be pretty close to the overall winter record to avoid it rolling into "summer". The weather is horrendous at the moment so it's impressive he has kept going. He had a stop at a pub in Ennerdale Bridge earlier and after 36 hours is approximately 10 hours behind where the record holder was at the same point. Opportunities to make up time as both the previous Winter Round completers had to take long breaks due to storms, but Sunday is looking pretty bad at the moment. I can't work out how to paste the link. Also, perhaps unsurprisingly, I'm not in the attempt group chat, so maybe @flyingfinn or @Northern Exile might have other insights? ;).

I know that he's cached kit/supplies at various locations (guest houses, bunk barns, YHAs) and that's obv. where he's be resting up. Most of the talk thus far is from his close friends convincing others that they really can't go out to meet him on the fell with a hot flask/supplies etc! Several remain unconvinced methinks!
