I've seen him quoted as saying that too. For someone as quick as him over the terrain it's possible that pacers just get in the way and are extra baggage. There are very few people who have the capacity to keep up with him and actually help in the way mortals get help from pacers. Maybe on the last leg he would get benefit but it would be fantastic to see him take the record with a solo, unsupported run.

Starting Monday 2nd John Kelly is off on another crack at the Wainwrights live.opentracking.co.uk The tracker doesn't show the proposed schedule but having seen it I confirm it's very aggressive. It could be an interesting few days.
