Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

As discussed earlier you can leave the route in a vehicle as long as you continue from the same point and there is precedence for going elsewhere to sleep on record rounds.

I saw reference to Mingma Tshering Sherpa’s completion of the winter Wainwrights but not as a round. I presume then it wasn’t a continuous round?

From faRcebook:

James' Winter Wainwrights Update
It's that time of the day folks - I'm sure you're all glad of the rest from the @opentracking app today 😅
Gibbo has rested well and we even managed to snaffle an appointment with the physio wizard that is Emma at Fellside Physiotherapy. She was astonished at what great shape his legs are in after all those miles and helped encourage some recovery too.
Myself and Gibbo spoke with BBC Radio Cumbria and it seems the interest in this incredible achievement is just spiralling.
The Mill Inn Mungrisdale has been the HQ today and they've been beyond epic to the team, so a huge shout out to them!
So, the plan. Just past midnight, as Cinderella runs away from the ball, Gibbo will be heading up onto Carrock Fell. He has a huge leg over the Northern fells to complete through the night.
The subsequent fells are lower until we make a go at Grisedale Pike tomorrow evening. From there it is one big leg, and then the final leg 💪
It's far from over but the estimated finish time will be mid afternoon on Thursday.

No it wasn't. They were done as a series of individual days out over 14 days. Some days were A to B but quite a few were loops with independent start/finishes. If you look on the Fell Running UK page on FB you can find a post showing all the individual routes.

Thank you. I hadn't even considered why it was mentioned in the way it was until your earlier post.

He sure is DT. He's cracked on well overnight. Looking at the forecast for the next couple of days the wind doesn't seem too bad or the rain that biblical. I think the odds are now starting to tip towards him getting this done.

Great to see he made good progress overnight.

Strange route they've just done after Little Man - they started heading back up Skiddaw. Maybe a navigation blip, or maybe looking for s specific path, either way look to be back on track towards Carl Side

I noticed that too Gus. I think it's just a nav blip, there's no real trod there (it's just loose slate) and the idea is you take a contouring descent until you pick up the path (and I use the term loosely) down to Carlside Tarn. On some maps I think it's marked as the Allerdale Way or something like it.
