Right, I am going to send one more e-mail and then I am off home, feeling too miserable. Am going to heat up soup in the microwave, then tea and to bed with laptop and DVD of the Devil Wears Prada. Will have some fruit too...

((((Hann)))) have a better evening.

I must admit I bought the shoes as they were most comfortable, can't see me using them to their full potential even if I do a tri!

What kind of pedals do you all have? My Shimano pedals have an allen key which can be used to adjust the tension & loosen it loads - I think they are easier to release than many other makes. They are designed for mountain biking - i.e. emergency exits! New pedals need you to clip in and out quite a few times (both to towards & away from the bike) which loosens them up.

It's really cheap to get a pair of MTB clipless pedals with cleats, as long as you've got time to practice of course. You can even get them one side flat, one side clipless, so you can ride with the flat side if you're in traffic. Have a look at www.chainreactioncycles.com

Hann - hope you're feeling better soon :-)

I had mine altered to the easiest setting. Out of the packet the right one was stiffer than the left, so the first ride I did was a left unclip, think maybe that's where it stems from

When I got my first clipless pedals they were 2nd hand. A few months later I went to buy a new bike, clipped in and immediately couldn't get out - nearly crashed :-(

When I raced XC I filed down my Time ATAC cleats further so I can get out more easily (they don't adjust like the Shimanos). I'd be lost without clipless pedals now.
