I have a cheap mountain bike from evilbay. I have no idea what it is. http://images.channeladvisor.com/Sell/SSProfiles/72000417/Images/2/LP227.jpg. I cycle to work on a Friday night (13 miles), get the train home on a Sat morning (I tried cycling home on the Sat morning one time. Being up for 26 hours, doing a ten hour night shift in A&E then cycling 13 miles home was a bloody STUPID idea), training it in again on sat night then cycling home again on the Sunday morning. The Sunday morning ride is hard but lovely. It's peaceful. I see lots of runners out and I get to listen to my music. Perfect. It does take me an hour and a half, so not Tour de France speeds!

The only downside, is that I can't really go on a run on Sunday evening as my thighs are still a bit sore. I'm hoping in time, that'll get better.

nice bike cb. Thats quite an endurance event!! can you find a river to swim home in;) seriously, maybe just a gentle recovery run on the sunday evening, and with your obvious level of fitness I'd reckon you'd soon be coping with the riding 'and' running, keep it up:)

Last week, I did a slow 2km on the Sunday. It's all I could manage. Still quite proud that I even managed that. Didn't work this weekend and because there's blummin' repair works to the train line. I won't be doing my usual cycle/train until Nov again. Still. It means I can get more running in. Never a bad thing.

Prop you can get a good decent bike for that money. Cannondale do some nice hardtails in that price range and also look at Specialized and Trek. Go to a shop and try a few and make sure you get the right size.

I'm looking for a cheap trailer capable of transporting 5 or 6 mountain bikes & assorted paraphernalia. Any suggestions?
