oops. Can anyone help? I wondered if there was a way of working out the equivalent effort reqired to run a distance as opposed to cycle. I am having to cycle to train for GSR as my leg is shagged and I did 19 miles today in 1.40 and wondered if that required similar effort to 10 miles of running.

I think you have to cycle 4 times the distance you would run for an equivalent training session. So 10 mile run = 40 mile cycle. Get out there and give me another 21!! |

Yep, ritz is right... if I want the same sort of effort out of my cycling as my running, I need to go out on the bike for hours...
