Night Hann!

M4P, yes, there's a rubber belt that connects the roller at the back so that the front wheel turns too.

I'm wobbling off to bed now as well :)

Lord you lot talk!!
Morning!
So it seems that being a crap cyclist and wobbly on the road I need a TT as rollers will kill me!
Wiggle is a wonderfull place but oh so easy to buy stuff!

Unless you just use an exercise bike in the gym, which Richard Hobson, no less, told me is 'almost as good'...

Dear Bike People,
Would a "Giant Cadex CFR-1, Bonded carbon fibre frame (550mm), HED Jet deep rim wheels, Low-pro handlebars, Shimano 600 groupset, Syntace Aeroshift levers, Selle Italia Gel Saddle, Vittoria Diamante Pro tyres, Choice of Time or Look pedals" be suitable for sportives as well as tri?

How can I persuade my DH that he will like carbon (he is concerned about fragility & prefers steel!)?
Thanks, Liz.
(Someone at club is selling some kit - I can pass on details to South East people if DH doesn't want it!)

Lizzie, sounds like it's set up with aero-bars and bar-end shifters, so pretty specific for time trialling. You can always change the bars back to drops for sportives, but you'll then need to buy new brake/gear levers which (with the bars) is going to add maybe £150 to the price depending on what spec you pick.

Looks like a nice frame though.

Of course, if he likes steel he'll love titanium.....

You'd need to change the wheels, too. Crikey it would turn heads at a sportive, though and no mistake.
