I read somewhere that a bottle in a cage is more aero than a cage without a bottle. No cage and no bottle is probably more aero still. I think it's fractions of time over a race distance though, might make a difference at the sharp end, but not for beginners etc.

If you do get a flat in a Tri it's game over in terms of a best possible finish, but if your goal is simply to complete the race more than post a specific time/win the damn thing, then carry basic kit (levers / inner tube / pump) to repair a puncture and get going again. At £30+ a pop for a sprint these days (and more for longer distances), I'd want to finish regardless of time, as I can't afford to enter extra races incase of DNF's that I'd otherwise be able to work around.

Spokes. How many of them do you *need* in a wheel, ffs? Cut some of them out. They are heavy and they ain't aero.

And clean under your foreskin - smegma's HEAVY.

ROFLMAO :-)

Bouncing Barlist on RW has this really fast and light aero whatnot bike and woodpecker... he has even cut the valves to save weight... thos who know him would say he'd save a lot more in both weight AND money if he ate and drank a little less :-p

Tri Mikey
SIA has places in London Tri if anyone is interested. With just a few places left we are prepared to accept a payment of £75 without minimum sponsorship. If you raise £250 you can have your £75 refunded. Fmail if interested.

It's a cx bike and I want a all out road bike. Think I take it just to see what the shop offers if it's not right I think I might just look into a new frame and swap most of the parts over. It's only a 47cm Legless so it's very small and I get slight toe overlap on it.
