When you speak to the french and italians and belgians about cycling the context of a race, mountain climb, pave etc, it's steeped in mythology and historical events. One reason Armstrong was not liked by the french was that he was too good and never really suffered. The french like to see their champions suffer.

They had more admiration fro him when he was dropped by Ullrich in the mountains on his third win(?). They love to compare rides with great rides of the past.

My fave kit however is the team kit from my bike shop in Holland... cannot really find a good pic of it, until I take one of myself in it, but this is it... cyclesjeanhabets.nl

Nice as well that it is half price of the normal stuff, as it is advertising! :-)
