Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hi NJ Back in another week? Holiday?

I'm off to the Grand Union Canal for midweek narrowboat holiday Monday. But don't worry--taking running kit!

Off to Spain on Monday. Should allow me time to recover from the Quad that I am starting in 2hrs 17 minutes. Notice how the holiday timing allows me to do the race! ;-)

Hi Shin twigs. I haven't any idea for where to stay, living too close not to get the train back home afterwards.

But I'd definitely be up for a few beers afterwards ;-) I understand there's a pub right near the finish that everyone goes to.

Boing. I'm back. Gosh, less than 3 months to go now. Still no word on where to stay? Going to have to hit the B&B web sites. Do I search for Eastbourne or is there a quaint little village close to the start, by the sea with a great pub, fish and chip shop etc???

Eastbourne is your best bet....it's by the sea, has lots of pubs and fish and chip shops... ;)

Just had a nose - start is in Eastbourne anyway! Looks like a lovely route....might come and spectate if the weather isn't too bad (don't fancy lugging my pregnant load up those hills in wet weather!)
