Hi NJ Back in another week? Holiday?
I'm off to the Grand Union Canal for midweek narrowboat holiday Monday. But don't worry--taking running kit!

Off to Spain on Monday. Should allow me time to recover from the Quad that I am starting in 2hrs 17 minutes. Notice how the holiday timing allows me to do the race!

Hi Shin twigs. I haven't any idea for where to stay, living too close not to get the train back home afterwards.
But I'd definitely be up for a few beers afterwards I understand there's a pub right near the finish that everyone goes to.

Boing. I'm back. Gosh, less than 3 months to go now. Still no word on where to stay? Going to have to hit the B&B web sites. Do I search for Eastbourne or is there a quaint little village close to the start, by the sea with a great pub, fish and chip shop etc???

Eastbourne is your best bet....it's by the sea, has lots of pubs and fish and chip shops...

Just had a nose - start is in Eastbourne anyway! Looks like a lovely route....might come and spectate if the weather isn't too bad (don't fancy lugging my pregnant load up those hills in wet weather!)
