Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hybrid bikes. You can't use them for Triathlons. Is that right, and what are they ?

All sorts of bikes being used at the London Tri. I think I even overtook a couple with baskets on the front :)

Another Newbie question. What's all this about marking your upper arm with your race number for the swim ?

You could have clothing changes during the race so wearing numbers all the time is difficult. However, you don't change your skin and so you get drawn on, usually on your arms and legs.

No, they have people responsible for marking up and you go to them, tell them your number and they write on you.

I found out there's a triathlon in Hyde Park in April. Anyone done this before? Swimming in the Serpentine in April seems a bit drastic to me...brrr...even with a wet suit
