Gobi, I am at Storm the Castle duathlon on Sunday which bills itself as the UKs toughest duathlon (don't they all?) so taking your above advice.

Oh good grief, I haven't been on Fetch for, like, forever and the first two threads I visit both have that picture!
Anyway. I have an entry into the Thames Turbo sprint on May 7th (bank holiday) that I'm not going to use. I can transfer it - anyone interested?

Sallykate thanks for the offer but I'm miles away. On a different note, I'm hoping to enter a sprint triathlon event but they all seem expensive. I've seen a charity event that I like the look of, but it's £50, it seems a lot of money. I know it's for charity but I can't really justify the expense as I still need to buy a Tri suit and wetsuit. Is that around the average cost to enter?

That's not unusual. They tend to be more expensive to run than runs or cycles because you need lifeguards and a swimming pool for an hour.
Thames Turbot is £45 Thorpe Park is £55 Eton SuperSprints are £66

I for one am grateful for the people who stop me from drowning.
