My afternoon involved decorating the simnel cake I made a few days ago too! Think mine wasn't under the grill for quite long enough, by contrast :)

I’d love to make a simnel cake, brown or not, but nobody except me likes marzipan and I can’t risk eating it all myself.

Once its open, Paula, its a lil bit too easy to just have a small chunk, and then another...luckily we're all big marzipan fans in my house, so I could share the leftovers :)
