I grew up thinking that apple Charlotte was stewed apples with breadcrumbs on top, baked in the oven so that they crisped up.

Happy Winnie The Pooh Day!

No, I'd never heard of it either, but apparently it's "a thing" and it's today. I messaged Mini Nico* and suggested she make Pooh a cake with hunny in it. She's just sent me this picture...



* Tissues ready: Mini Nico was born 10 weeks early and weighed less than a bag of sugar. I bought her the Pooh toy in the picture and he slept in her incubator with her. Pooh still goes everywhere with us, even though she is now a 17 year old young lady who terrorises opposition front rows.
